Hi,

I would like to know which year and models of the 5 series are called E39, and E60.

I have the 2005 530i, is mine a E39 or E60 ?

Thanks,

Ching-Ho Cheng

yours should be the e60!
Does yours look like any of those in the gallery?
e39 was the last generation 5 series. production ~ 1996 to 2003.

Also E39 production started in '96 with the first '97 model.

Welcome Cheng,

I kind of remember your name from E60 sub-forum in RoadFly. If that Ching-ho Cheng were you, then you have been posting there for a while. Therefore, I would guess you'd already know you have an E60 Then again, you may be a different Chin-ho Cheng.

Welcome aboard, lcc014 !

You have an E60. In the FAQ section there is something about the E-numbers.
