Add to the list
Rattly upper seat belt anchors despite them being fixed and not adjustable like most other cars. Go figure.
On 2.0 Litre diesels, buggered up turbo/ exhaust gas recirculation valve. Mine's been replaced and is going again.
Unavailability of replacement RFTs.
Impossibility of repairing the above.
Creaky centre console.

high pitch, sounds like if it was coming from top panel
six visits to dealership,tons of silicone,lub and new latches for fold down seat still no solution

I forgot to mention:
16. Bad AC smell after turning it off (The dealer sprayed some chemical and it was OK for 2 weeks) I think a lot of cars do that, so I accepted it.

The same used to happen to my truck and the dealer would spray some chemical directly into the vents and all it would do is mask the smell with a stronger smell, but after a week or so the moldy smell would come back. They finally disassembled the evaporator and found the drain holes plugged and all the inside was green with mold. That could be your problem.
I will add a number of glitches from my car as well to the list in a day or so - good idea to post it. I've seen some already that happen to me as well like pinging in low rpms and the engine surging on idle but after I've been driving a while. It will go up and down to about 1500 rpm and the consumtion meter pegs at the 12mpg (US Specs car) and after three times it goes back to a regular idle. This happens as I stop at a light or for traffic (6-speed on neutral).
Regards.

My Ride: 04' 530i Sport/premium/cold wx/PDC/xenon.
Well I can't say I had all of these just some.
But I just past my 50,000 mile mark so I had some items taken care of under the waranty.
1) cup-holders replaced;
2) driver's front seat covering replaced;
This last item seemed minor, but wasn't. It appeared that a seat spring was trying to come throught the seat back near the driver's left shoulder position. When the cover was taken off the seat padding needed to be replaced. Apparently there was damage due to the seat warmers!
It's fixed now but I can't help but wonder what the future use of the seat warmers will bring.
