Does this require a software update to enable anything or does it just plug in and work? The car in question has seats that are fully electric seats with memory and heated. I'm looking into whether it is cost viable to swap to comfort seats and to also retain the heated seat feature as well.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately the last post in the above thread was "Jan 16 2006, 04:06 PM" and the OP never came back. It sure would have been great to see his pictures as I wanted to do this too.

I think your initial question is answered in that thread but if you search, you should find many other posts on the subject.

Also, you can try sending a PM to the OP, he does pop in here from time to time. In addition, you can try contacting nicke60gre who's also done the retrofit. He hasn't been very active lately (where are you Nick?) but is lurking...

I'm interested in this too. I probably would have an indy shop do the work, but would like to have an idea of how much it will cost and any problems I might encounter If you find out any more, please share it with us. I'm sure there are others who have also considered retrofitting their seats....

Yes, that was my mod! It made such a big differance in the comfort of the car I just took out an extended warranty for 5 more years! And, I am working on a two tone interior!

Thanks for the link Nelson. Chuck, glad to know this can be done affordably. It's really helpful to have a benchmark.
