Guys:
I was under the assumption that in my comfort access equipped E60 that it was impossible to lock my keys in it. I have been able to lock my keys in my trunk. I will open the trunk with the rubber nub, toss my key in it and close the trunk. It does not unlock, open or alarm. The trunk does not release when I pull on the rubber nub again.
Am I misunderstanding the feature, doing something wrong or is there an issue with my E60?

Is it possible that you have turned the outside trunk keyhole to the locked (horizontal) position?

Thanks for the help... I just tried to replicate the same situation again and I can't make it happen. I didn't change anything with the lock, so I assume it was just a fluke. I've never heard the beeping sound that it makes once it notices the key in the trunk. I've noticed as well that I will not let me do it in the interior of the vehicle, but there is not audible sound make to inform me that the key is in the vehicle. I find that slightly odd...
