Yup thats it the key fob slot in the car will need to used to charge the batteries in the key fob and the metal KEY is there in case of battery failure or if you want to roll up your windows from the outside of the car. (US)

Yep since the key now have rechargeable battery so you need to insert your key once in a while.

Can't you just press and hold the lock button if you want to roll up your windows from outside?

That sucks! :thumbsdown: Euro spec are friendlier, we don't have the lawyer screen and we can close the window with the remote key fob.
