comfort access question

Hi - Another question as I await delivery of my 530:
I ordered comfort access. I have seen some photos that show the new start/stop button and what looks like a plug in the steering column where the tradtional starting mechanism would have been. This is pretty ugly. Any idea if the comfort access steering column will be a little more polished?

You dont need it for unlocking, you dont need it to start the car

You mean the key hole? You need the key for all of that stuff you mention. It has to be in your possession.
The hole is to give you the option of inserting it (I guess). Maybe it's a back-up if the car loses the "sensing ability" (maybe that runs on batteries). So you could still insert it.

You dont need it for unlocking, you dont need it to start the car

[/quote]The key fob has to be with you (in your pocket, briefcase, etc.) since the car needs to communicate with it to allow you access to the car. And it has a removable metal key in it in case the battery dies.
