+9999 The worst is sitting in the car, pressing the start button and nothing. I re-arrange my pocket a little and it starts up. No rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes the door locking and unlocking is spotty.

How the hell did Toyota get flawless comfort access operation working and BMW can't seem to get better than 60-70% of the time.

Hmmm ... maybe the battery in your comfort access fob is ready to be replaced. ONLY CA fobs use batteries that can be replacemed ... you can find them easily at any radio shack or even a discount store. In my area ShopRite actually has the best price! Last time I bought 2 for $2.39! I think the battery number is 2032 ... but check that first to be sure. It's a 2 minute DIY job!

If that doesn't help solve your problem there may be a problem with one of the CA antennas.

Sorry about your frustration - but I never had that problem. Sometimes I'd have to position myself to lock the doors, but starting the car with the key in anywhere inside the cabin works every time. The idrive also warns you if the fob battery gets low.

I realize that I've replied to you in the past about CA issues but since you still have problems and others are chiming in with problems as well, I thought I'd post some links to other threads with information about this. Hopefully it'll help out...
