NOOOOO I just bought my E60 without the push "start/stop" button.
Actually I have to say, push button looks fancy, but it's not as easy to use as regular key.
I tried the push button on the 3 series. There are 3 steps you need to do before you start your car.
1. Insert the remote into the car
2. Apply the break
3. Push the button
And only 1 step for regular key.
1. Insert and turn key while apply break!!

I would say it unlocks the door rather than open the door.
Well, not sure...

It unlocks the door when you put your hand inbetween the handle and the door, sothat whn you pull the handle the door is unlocked

What about the Boot? I know once it's unlock, it opens because of the hinge.
If you have the key with you and you press the unlock button on the boot it will open

All this for only $1000.00 US : ) Correct price is really $1000.00 US??

Yep--it's a rip-off. I had keyless go on my E55 (also ~ $1,000) and wouldn't pay more than a few hundred $ for it.

Anyone have a keyless go for women

Unlocking and stuff...

Is that the new math??!!!

Seems to me the regular key has 2 steps (press brake pedal, insert & turn key)--using your logic for the new system above...

That's funny... That's also three steps. See (1) and (2).

Bottom line... Start/Stop is not easier without comfort access. It's just a nifty feature.

hahaha
I just want to make my point that key is better..... because I don't have a push start....
But honestly push start does not save time at all, only if you have it with comfort access keyless entry, but it's another expensive option.

Agreed--without comfort access, the button is just an extra step (...but not 2 extra steps!).

And comfort access--at $1,000--is a rip-off.

Stream,

Agreed. This option was part of a package on the Infiniti I test drove and was real nifty. But for me, it's in the same league as PDC & HUD. Nifty, but not enough bang for the buck@1K.

Lexus GS does not charge for it. Why BMW? It should only $600 ~ $700. What a ripped off, BMW!

There are way too many options Janapense luxury car come standard but not on European cars.
Ex. Automatic transmission, heated seats, HUD, leather, power seats, split-fold down rear seats and many more.

Why are we still buy the Bimmers: Fun factor!!!!
