I live in Texas and we have now for the past 2 months to receive some very cold morings and it has been very hard on my E60. On a cold morning it would start normally but a minute after it starts I would have all types of messages flash on the center dash display like flat tire sensor, transmission fault, service engine soon, and so on and so on as if every codes gets activated. I then shut it off for about five minutes and start it back up and the error messages would disapear except for one which is the seat belt buckle up light stays on. What could be happening, can any one help me?

I have an 04', this happened to me and it was the alternator. Although mine stalled while driving the same lights came on. If you have the same original alternator I would think about replacing it since they generally last 6-7 years with the research I've done on them.

could be the intelligent battery sensor. I had a bunch of faults that would occur during the cold weather. replaced the alternator which seemed to take care of it until now. i disconnected the IBS and all is well. it is a small wire with a connector on the negative battery cable. i have been driving it like this for a few months. it will set a fault code, but no check engine light
