Hi everyone Im a newb here and just bought my first BMW its an 04 545i. Anyway I test drove it before i bought it but being new to whole world of BMW didnt know whether this was normal or not. Well now im starting to get a little paranoid bc I think the clutch is slipping, although since this is my first MT car im not sure. I learned driving a manual in a 73 mgb so needless to say this 545 is a touch different could someone please enlighten me on how to tell if the clutch is slipping in a new car like this?

Hi There, I also have a 04 545 with a 6sp manual. The first sign that a clutch is slipping is when you depress the gas in a higher gear and see that the RPM's are climbing but the speed does not have a relative increase.
