This is a funny one. Have had a clunking sound from left side suspension. Have been searching for the cause of this many months now.
Started this winter and after changing wheel bearings and discs and pads in the front it suddenly got worse. OK I started troubleshooting and found first on fault where the left triangle bracket that attaches the link arms for the anti-roll bar was loose. Had to make new threads with helicoil to fix it. I thought that was it but sorry no.OK, then changed the link arms themselves, and bushings for the anti-roll bar, and again thought that I had nailed it, but again no improvement.Haven't tried so much after that, but I have been constantly thinking about this. Then this evening I dismounted the anti-roll bar on one side and took a drive. Not a sound, so this has something to do with the anti-roll bar.I attached it again and I now torqued both sides to correct settings but when taking off from my house the clunking sound was still there This is starting to get really annoying and I am out of ideas.

Possible the lower control arm bushing, or that it was not tightened with the suspension compressed (i.e. on the ground). Possible it's done it since the prior work because you had to remove it then?
My car had the same symptoms, and re-tightening the control arm front bolt solved it.
