Let me be more explicit.

There are those e60 owners who don't put a priority what their e60 costs them. To buy. To run. To sell.

Their priorities are focused on choices to enhance style, comfort or performance.

Hope that helps.

Your terminology made it look like the cost of options paled into insignificance compared with the day to day running costs.......

So, in that case, the question posed here wouldnt be valid..... you would clearly have any and every option.

cheers

It is interesting that AUTO is considered essential for resale. Mine is a 520d so it isn't going to be an issue , but in the larger engined variants where a manual 'box is available I am pretty sure that it wouldn't have an enormous effect. The reason for this is that if someone wants a large engined saloon with a manual 'box it will be a 5 series. They are thin on the ground used (pre-owned), so theoretically they will be snapped up. Unless they are poorly specced, I imagine that a manual 530d would sell quite quickly and therefore would, if not command a premium over an auto, be worth at least as much.

I can't locate the terminology to which you refer.

It's evident that many people who own an e60 are not motivated by cost at all - that's not to say that money is no object.

That's why we see HUD and M Sport mentioned frequently in this thread for example.

Only for some does the calulator come out.

Money being no object, I might just have thought about buying an F430, like the one I rode in as a passenger on Thursday.

I dont think they have an extensive option list

cheers

Comfort seats (comes only with leather or the comfort package) and Hi-Fi (or Logic 7) sounds.

Jet Black would be great!
