Chiming before you put on your seat belt

My Ride: Alpine White/Biege 545i, CWP, Nav, Active Steering, Auto Step ordered 2/1/05
For me, it only chimes when I don't have the setbelt on. It doesn't chime if I start the car with the seatbelt on.
