So does the pressure regulator need to be changed on 6 cyl E60's?

Ordered the valve things from pelican parts came in one day, I must be close, super easy to change however I would not be in such a rush to blow 50 bucks my old ones looked like new... But they could tear at any moment I guess I have 80k miles and I would vote it's a 100k item or so

My car has 65k miles on it and they were very black and had lots of sludge in them...the passenger side was worst.

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

They needed to be changed...they had a lot of buildup on them. it would have run poorly IMO (drop in fuel mileage, rough idle, vibration, etc) if i let them stay there until 100k.

Somehow the car was still getting 25 MPG average, more on long trips with the original plugs. With the new plugs, it definitely feels like its picked up some power. Fuel mileage will have to wait...this tank does look like it could be best anyway, my foot has been a little heavy

Bottom line: Well worth the 45$ and the hour to put them in. I used Bosch IR Fusion Platinum plugs. OEM's were NGK.
Thanks for the update. I will definitely have mine replaced in the new year.
