Ok so this whole issue regarding a dying or retarded/geriatric battery might be the thorn in my side as well. I Have noticed now in the last couple of weeks that when I listen to the radio with ignition/engine switched off that I get the "low battery" warning after a few minutes. In the last 3 or so days my interior fan - A/C blower will not go to full speed, it only increases fan speed on the 1st 4-5 turns from there on no increase to full speed - the A/C still cools down so no problem with gas. Might this be part of the "non essentials" that the car shuts down? I have checked fuse and reseated it. Battery bubble color also looks black as far as I could make out.

Black means replace battery, yellow = charge, green=ok(but not 100%)
Replace your battery to start.

You are in for an experience. I'm a former American (car) Master auto mechanic. I gave it up to become a doctor. This issue almost broke me! Go to AutoZone and get a 1000 AMP Cold start battery. Then, you'll have to take it to BMW to pay ~$100-150 to have the alternator's (smart voltage computer) reset to let it know what you've done....the alternator output is based upon the statistics of your battery---not on actuality. They ended up replacing my alternator too...it was still under warranty or that would have been $900. Also, little known secret, your key's battery will DIE and no longer recharge. Start using your "spare" main key. You can buy a new battery for your key BUT you have to buy the key! It's around $120 from BMW--there are forums that will teach you how to cut your old key open and replace the battery from one you get, of all places, at CVS Pharmacies. My key died out and started off with symptoms related to the dying battery. Again, the car battery is essential in these cars because everything works on "Coded" electrical messages that are HIGHLY voltage sensitive -thus, we're talking millivolts, not "volts"..Carl S, M.D./PhD

Everything is working great as of now. Dates and everything. also changed the microfilter (super easy).

The date/time yes. I had to manually reset the micro filter coding.

Also I spend 3 hrs in the cars ECU connecting the BMS powerbox....big difference guys, deff worth it.
