Hello
I've upgraded from my MV2 18" runflats to used M5 19" (Sorry not sure what type they are, any one?)

OK the positives:
They look good IMO and the ride is soooo much better!! less bone jarring.. and I love the staggered look

but there is a negative and its annoying me...

They rub on the inner arches on the front and I'm not sure if they are on the back, but definitely on the front...

I've had the front arches rolled a little so they only rub a little if I go over a bump or rough road fast...

My question is the tyre sizes are
Front (8.5) are 255/40 ZR19
Rear (9.5) are 285/35 ZR19

Can anyone confirm what the E60 post 2005 cars with 19" spiders have, and would I be better off reducing the tyre sizes to have less rubbing

anyway here are some pics as I know everyone likes pics!!

Originals

and M5 alloys

Your wheels have M5 tires, and they are too big for a non-M5 E60.

The correct sizes would be 245/35 and 275/30.

The front should be changed to 245/35. You should be able to keep the rear as is, if there is no rubbing. Good luck!

The wheels look very nice. Not easy to find used OEM M5 wheels ! I want to get rid of my runflats too. I have style 124 with dunlop runflats. Was trying to decide whether going from 18" to 19" will affect the ride eventhough I was going for non runflats. Seems like just getting away from runflats gives a massive improvement in the ride quality even if increasing the wheel size.

Thanks, the difference between runflats and non runflats is amazing, Ive noticed going down main roads I normally use the non runflats are a vast improvement on ride quality.... just need to reduce the tyre sizes to stop the rubbing on the rough bits of road and it will be a perfect blend of bigger wheel and no adverse effect to ride...

when the time comes go for it...
