Thank you all for the options and the ad. I have the CD only. I first want the original to work again, which means I presume I have to buy an L7? There is a square amp, but when I hook up back up I hear only the woofers under the seat I believe?

I do have the smaller screen and if I can keep that and still have NAV that will do.

So it sounds like first I need the amp? Then if I want a NAV, I will need a CCC and a new screen? Any other electronics with that? From what I read, I will need a new iDrive too?

Appreciate all the help gang and eventually I will get it right.

Just for those curious, he put an Alpine IDA 305s, kick panel components (I LOATHE THESE as they are in the way and bad when you have a 6 speed) CDT speakers, cut the door panels to allow for 6"! and stripped the trunk to add a huge 15" with two amps, one Helix and the other JL to run the sub alone.

I just want normalacy restored!

Looks like you have the HIFI system. On the Hifi system the amp that you have on the rear only power the underseat woofers. No need to buy logic7 amp, unless you want to retrofit logic7 system.

Yes, if you want nav you will need CCC and new screen. If you want voice control, you will need the split button(pic that i posted).

Kicks are not that bad but no where good as mines



The trunk is a mess, definitely needs to be cleaned up. I clearly understand why you want to get rid of the whole system. Was this a California car?

Oh man!!! Yours is very nice! Very nice indeed. Maybe if it were similiar, I wouldn't be so angry! It was an original NV car but quickly moved to WA. I brought her home to resell originally but I have "can't let go" syndrome with any of my BMW's.

I am a plain original type girl who appreciates stock. Granted this thing let the block know you were coming, I am just not interested. The HU finally passed on and I thought it gives me the opportunity to start slowly putting it back together.

I need original kick panels, door panels, and the trunk parts.

Never been a fan of aftermarket deck install in our cars, looks out of place. My advice is to put everything up for sell in the classifieds or a car audio forum. You can get the bottom trim that holds the radio in ebay for cheap. Im pretty sure the front OEM speakers are still there, just have to reconfigure everything. Is San Jose far from San Francisco? I have a friend that might be able to help.
