Default Car starts normally, then as the RPM drops down to idle, it stalls!

hey guys,

Its been happening more and more regularly, mainly when its warmed up and I leave it for 30 minutes or so since it was last on. It only happens about once every ten starts.

I've researched this online and I've read that it could be the IVM, but the other threads state they just get a 'click' noise, not that it starts, then dies.

other than that, the car is working great, no drop in power or anything noticable, the transmission is clunking from 2-1, but i plan on changing the oil and sump next week.

has this happened to anyone before? if so, I'd love to know the source of the problem! if its an unheard of issue, I'll try changing parts and see what fixes it for future people with this issue!

Thanks in advance!

Worn CCV Valves possibly? I had a similar issue, however the car never stalled. It did however feel like it was going to. Once I replaced the CCV Valves, all was well. Perform a search for CCV Valves and see if that helps.

I think you are spot on the money! I read about symptoms of the CCV Valve and my car is whistling sometimes too as described.

thank you for the help! much appreciated

Is this the CCV Valve? It says its Pressure control valve instead, but looks identical! just want to be 100% sure before purchasing.... cheers

Glad to help! Is this sold as a pair or individually? I know you will need two of them (a pair). One for each bank of the motor. Install is pretty straight forward. Good luck!

Mine was the same way. No rips or tears but extremely soft and worn compared to the new replacement.
