Day 5 and still no progress on the hesitation issue? First they call and ask if I did anything to the computer, then they question me about the spark plugs which I replaced a few thousand miles ago. its frustrating.

Ok got car back still has hesitation issue! They
Replaced coils and spark plugs Valvetronic sensor all of rear suspension minus
The springs and shocks as they are new, water pump and oil pan gasket.

The mechanic said to run cleaner in a tank of fresh
Gas so I filled up at Shell with premium as I always do and problem
Is still there. Do ya all think injector cleaner will help? I am out of ideas.

Thanks

i too have this same issue. under hard acceleration, the car starts misfiring at about 4k rpm. under soft acceleration, all is well. having worked on several vehicles over the years, it feels like the engine is misfiring under load which would lead me to believe it is either ignition coil related or spark plug related. i changed the plugs around 10k miles ago. i noticed the problem wasn't there until shortly after i changed the plugs. i can't see it being the spark plug gap, as the plugs have 4 electrodes and come pregapped from NGK. it could be a bad plug, although the problem would be there all the time instead of just above 4k rpm. also, if the problem were fuel related (i.e. fuel filter, fuel pump, injectors) the symptoms would show up all the time and not just at 4k rpm. i too have run injector clean a couple times with little to no results. as far as i can tell there is a bad coil for one of the cylinders. i won't know for sure until i pull the codes.
