car leaning on passenger side

My E60 has a noticeable (at least to me) lean to the passenger side. From what I have read a slight lean is normal. I'm had my car worked on for breaks, tires, etc. and no shop has ever mentioned seeing problems with struts or anything else.

I'm glad I found this thread because I thought I was losing my mind. My car is leaning to the passenger side, and it is visibly noticable to me, but only to others when I mention it. It bugs me, but I'm still not sure of the solution. I took it to BMW and everything checked out ok.
WTF????

That crossed my mind. Nola needs a "No Fat Chicks" sign on his passenger door.

Here's another thing I noticed. When I was switching over to KSports and had my OEM parts removed, I noticed that the front strut assembly looked a little different. So, I measure it and guess what. The struts on the front are NOT the same length from the notch to the end where it will sit in the collar in the spindle. I think it was the left-side (driver side) that was a bit higher on the notch. I will take pictures tonight and post it to show everyone.

I could be wrong, but....

Springs, not struts maintain the height of a vehicle.

Struts keep the wheels from falling back down to the road surface after you hit bumps.

Re the leaning of the vehicle, it could be that a part of the suspension is either cracked or bent. Not unusual for this to happen when an uneducated tow-truck driver used chains intead of nylon straps to secure the vehicle on back of truck. (See owners manual on this topic.)

That could be the case as well, as I had it towed last winter when I got stuck in a snow storm....can't remember if he used chains or straps though...the dilemma goes on.

Car should be level on a level road with all fluids. If compensation is needed for wheel alignment, your "aligner" will put a dead weight in the car when adjusting the alignment.
