My Ride: 2007 530i. Purchased 6/28/07. Titanium Silver Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, Dark Poplar Trim, Steptronic, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Bluetooth, Adaptive Control Xenons. 10/30/07 Added OEM 124s with 245/40/18 & 275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. Knew about the aluminum, but didn't know about the glue. Must be some powerful adhesive for that application!

I'm curious (for my own future reference), is this something a mechanic would have seen if you had it inspected prior to purchase? Makes you wonder if it had a washed title....

Good to know when your cruising around the autobahn at 150 MPH or taking some hair pin turns you got glue helping to hold your 60K+ car together. 
Personally I would replaced the glue with duct tape.
