Knew about the aluminum, but didn't know about the glue. Must be some powerful adhesive for that application!

I'm curious (for my own future reference), is this something a mechanic would have seen if you had it inspected prior to purchase? Makes you wonder if it had a washed title....

They might have different rules out there in Texas, but 'round here this looks like a lemon, bro! Buyer beware does not apply to lemons - new or used.

Good to know when your cruising around the autobahn at 150 MPH or taking some hair pin turns you got glue helping to hold your 60K+ car together.

Personally I would replaced the glue with duct tape.
