Oh.. and all of that was free of charge. The interface retrofit swap and the cover plate.

My Ride: 2006 bmw 530xi
I was just cleaning out my car and I found it under the drivers seat at the rear of the cabin. Im almost certain its the device that links their diagnostics laptop or programming machine to the Idrive, but is this the no Sh!* module? Seems like something they would take a little more care of. I had them reprogram my car for the latest software and Ipod interface so it has to be it right? Anyways. Seems like it would be pretty valuable but I cant find anything on it. The SA and parts manager over there have been way to nice to me for me to keep it so I'll be returning it to them at my next visit
anyway you are doing the right thing i think.

that's what I was thinking, even though I find the SA's very friendly and helfpul, the ones at my dealer are just glorified receptionists...but as the saying goes--> what goes around comes arounddo the right thing, whether you believe in karma or not, you will feel better about yourself and be a happier person for it
