Calling Garry on Monday to order my new 166s
#1
Finally, after nearly a year of looking, I am ordering the 166s From Garry of Newport on Monday. I am unsure what tires to put on. I have been looking at the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and the Bridgestone RE960 Pole Position A/S. What do you recommend? Those that switched out, did you do the TPMs as well?
I am interested in the ET17 that was talked about in the MikeBuzzsaw group buy last month, if anyone has info on those sizes.
By the way I have the 2007 550i Sport Package.
Thanks,
Brian

Is there a reason you want All-Season tires only? Why not go for Summer performance tires and use your old rims with winter rubber? If so, I'd go for the Michelin Pilot Sports PS2's if you can afford them. I had a set of Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position's and didn't care for the road noise or the cupping they developed. There are certainly cheaper options, so read up on the ratings on TireRack.com. 245/35/19 F, 275/30/19 R.

With the M6 offsets, would I be able to do a 285 on the rear?
What are you planning up front for tire width? You will have to run 245's.
