Buzzing noise
I have a buzzing noise coming from the engine, immediately after I park up and the car is switched off and it lasts about 1 minute.
Looked in engine bay the other day to pinpoint the noise, I found it was coming from the middle of the engine on the left side.

Modern cars make lots of mechanical and electrical noise during the shutdown procedure which can last for several minutes after your turn off the car. Not sure what the exact noise you are hearing is though...

You dont state what engine you have. This will help. If you have N52 it is possible to be the valvetronic motor (left top as you look the engine from the front).
I am not sure which engine, the car is a NOV 05 535d.
.
The noise appears to come from the left top side, its a silver circular component.
Does any one else get this, I have owned three e60s 525d,530d and this 535d never had this before, before I ask the SA I want to understand it, so they cannot BS me.
