These are the specs I got:

Hub: 72.6

Offset: 38 mm front 38 mm rear

38? Don't they need to be 42 or above or something??

No, these offsets are fine. In fact, the rear of 38 is ideal. That actually pushes the wheel out further and closer to the well. This is probably why the "gap" looks smaller. I was more concerned about the front. A low offset would push the wheels BEYOND the front wheel arch and make the car look like a taco mobile.

Here's a great tool to use for you future reference:

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

And here are the specs on a 535xi:

17" Wheels: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=36&fg=15

18" Wheels: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=36&fg=15

Note the offsets as you scroll down in the specs (i.e., ET43, ET55, etc.).

You might want to have the wheels remounted and balanced. If they were shipped to you mounted, the initial job may have been poor.

PS - For all this help, you now have to post pictures of your car.

The offsets are perfect ... Check and make sure your tire sizes again ... the shop didn't mount the 275 up front & the 245 on the rear by mistake didn't they ? Something strange ...

Just went and took a look...everything seems cool...the pressures were quite low I think (34 front/36 rear) I bumped the pressures up to 40 frt/42 rear. (thought back to how the M6 pressures were with the 19's) I'll see how it feels when I leave...

So did you get the problems with the wheels resolved?
