Same issue here. Dealership said it was normal. iDrive shows front/rear brakes at 24000k/29000k... The rears actually went from 28000k to 29000k recently.
I've only had the car 6 months and those mileages in iDrive have never changed!!! I complained and they said iDrive was working fine.
I've wrote down the mileages and am waiting to see if ANY of them change.

I complained about the brake squeal during my 15,000mi service. The dealer checked it out, said there was a faulty rear sensor and replaced the sensor, pads, and rotors. The squeal is mostly gone now, and when it comes back a good, hard braking will usually silence them again.

Finally got round to sorting this issue last week.... at the 3rd dealer I rang!?!?
The first 2 tried to fob me off with "pads might need deglazing which we will charge you for, and we have to charge for the investigation time blah blah....."
3rd dealer immediately said "Yes, it's a known problem with E60 pad sensors - straight warranty replacement."
Got the rear pad sensors changed FOC within an hour - squeal now gone. Its amazing how irritating that sound was, and the difference it's absence makes to the driving pleasure!!!!!!
Moral of the story: pursue this until you find a dealer who recognises the issue. Don't accept any BS or pay for investigation/remedial work!!!
