brakes noise please help any info???

my 2004 bmw 530i se has i squeeqe when i brake from the rear left brakes, i have removed the rear caliper no stones are visable and the pad have prob covered 2000 miles max, any ideas? its more of a metal noise than grinding than a squeele, does any one no what it could be or any info? please help my car is up on a jack and i want to sort this
