do you know that BMW will not cover for your battery if you drive less than 7500 miles per year?
and it cost $475 including parts and labor for OEM battery

ray, that's ridiculous! Give BMW of Bloomfield a call and see if they can get u a new one. So does that mean that you are not supposed to buy a BMW if you drive very little?? Which stupidship did u go to? Gimme a call.
EDIT: Give BMW NA a call immediately. 1-800-831-1117

That is messed up. Luckily I have managed to put about 28K miles on my car since I bought it. Definitely shop around $450 for a friggin battery? Ludicrous

i just called BMW of NA to confirm, unfortunately, it is true, if you drive under 7500 miles per year, BMW wont cover your battery, this is ridiculous

BMW are you listening?
this topic has been regurgitated countless times? however, this is total BS! their whole ad campaign is on the premise of ZERO dollars spent during maintenance period! i don?t think i ever read a mileage disclaimer for maintenance on their sales brochure...
you have to shop different dealers? some are willing to help you out. i had my battery changed even though i had low miles.

The "unfavorable driving profile" strikes again. Had the same problem. They "goodwilled" it. Now I use a trickle charger when I'm outta town.

which dealer did you go to? i thought the BMW of manhattan tried to make money, but i just called BMW of NA to confirm, if your dealer change the battery for you with low mileage, i will like to go if not too far away and save $500, i still have not change the battery yet, because i can still drive, just need to jump start if i park overnight
i can tell you which dealer, but then i would have to charge you a referral fee
