BMW Owner Not Happy
I am the owner of a 2004 545i Silver Grey Metallic. Its been sitting at Westchester, NY BMW since Thursday for the following:
1-Recall Gas Line
2-CPU re-programming (Which they said takes 7 Hours and Crashed twice)
3-Driver Seat makes noise
4-Cup Holder Broken
5-Windshield has chips (I think its made to cheap because i see on many forums other complaints)
Last month I Bought the 4.8 X5... Its sitting in my garage for 2 Weeks because of a Recall. Part is coming from Germany.
I feel I bought a KIA

Two recalls on two new vehicles? My car was recalled before it arrived something I never thought about before it happened. Just be happy its getting attention. With the DME recall all of the delivered cars have priority over cars at the VPC like mine.

I'm in the UK.
I had a 525iSE which I returned to BMW due to the fact I was unhappy with all the issues.
Then took delivery of a 530d which went in for a 3 hour job. 7 days later still in dealers. Not their fault. In my opinion BMW do not have the back up to support these vehicles in any way shape or form. Dealers are not getting the correct info and so my decision was to return this E60 and walk away from BMW cars.
I've had BMW's for over 10 years but they are more about quantity rather than quality these days I feel.
Lost over ?5000 on the two cars but feel they wont be truly ready for at least another year. An important factor (before I incite an arguement) is on how fussy one is and what one expects from a car. My own opinion is that, at present, the car is good but the support from factory is non existant and they released the cars way too early!
So for thos of you left out there. Enjoy your E60's and I hope you have more patience / luck than I have had!
