I have changed my status today from " I am going to order BMW Individual" to
"I have ordered BMW Individual" Exciting
535D Mineral silver for September production (MY 2006) to be delivered end of October. Ordered across the border in Germany (much cheaper).
Equipement 1. Merino Amarone perforated leather, Walnut amarone wood trim, Anthracite Alacantara headliner.
+ ACS mirrors, frontlip and side skirts with Chromeline inserts.
Now torturous long waiting, at least not so long as poor Flowerfred...

Is "Individual" something we do not have in the US?
You can order Individual for 'M' Cars. I hear it is a problem to order Individual for standard cars.

Here is the latest news for those concerned:
Now I cud guess why people in Europe outside Germany can't get price lists and exact compositions of BMW Individual. I managed to get those for Germany and Belguim/Luxembourg. They are marked for "Internal use only".

In the past High Gloss Shadowline has been included as a standard production line cost option in the model price lists but has yet to be added to the E60 - certainly in the UK at any rate. This is yet another bewildering omission by BMW as the better quality finish it gives makes the car look so much more expensive. I for one would prefer to see it as a standard fit item with the matt finish being a no cost option.
Do you have to wait longer for your individual order - I was told by my dealer that it could take a month or so extra if I order piano gloss trim - something about having to take it off the production line - is that just BS, or do you have to wait longer for yours too?
Oh and by the way I think shadowline is only available as an option if you have a sport model.
Thanks Beembo,
I also have plenty of them now (Belgium, Germany) and even detailed compositions.
Any questions are welcome.
Correct, the car is being taken out of the production line.
Normally you shud add about 6 weeks to the delivery time with BMW Individual but if
you do not take their ext. colour then it shud be quicker.
