My Ride: 2006 525i Jet Black, keep my passenger seat extra clean after I(married/3kids) drop off my new mistress(half black/half indian gives great head even though I have Jock itch/yeast infection), don't want anything leaking from her crotch after I have my way with her
Unhappy

Hi All,

I am again am a newbie to BMW and this site. This is a fantastic site !!! I purchased my first BMW almot a month ago.

I have a questions on 05 BMW 525i with NAVI. When the car is turned off and no key in the ignition it sounds like there is DVD accesses going on or a hard drive being accessed. Has anyone ever noticed this?

I was puzzled by this and I began to see what fuses where active with the key out. All of the fuses behind the glove box are on with the key out . (12 volts present on all except 1, not switched with the ignition. )

I am concered with this if the car is parked for a period of time of no use. Any information is appreciated.

This car ha truely been the "ultimate driving experience" as well as this site an awesome source of info.

Don't worry stoogefan.

The car goes into sleep mode after 16 minutes -- at that point, most circuits are powered down...

Yup... car goes into sleep mode after 15 mins or so. Crazy little car.

Hey but one question... if I lock the car and the alarm is on... that means its Not really "sleeping" how does that work?

Clearly, there are some circuits that don't sleep...

there is an engine diagnostic and preserve that works over time, after the ignition is switched off.
the main purpose is to keep the engine at full operational temperature if and when the driver decides to fire the car up again after a short time away.
you will notice this buzzing sound in the engine spinning away like a harddrive. no fear all is normal.

the sleep mode remembers seat heater and steering wheel heater position within 15 minutes of last ignition.

My tech says that the car is completely asleep only after 1 hour.

No. It's never really completely sleeping.
It sometimes during the sleep wakes up and checks the car and all it's systems.

I cud guess that he might be right only after my problems with Proffesional Telephone. It only stopped to continiously wake up once it had been set up for switch off in 1 hour.
Since that time no problems. Previously it was reacting like this to every active circuit in the car. Though I am far from being a specialist in this field.
