I'm surprised you didn't need a new engine with that serious of a problem! This dealer's obviously doing you a huge favor - if you're like Calton and like it when someone pulls your pants down and sticks it to you hardcore, that is!

Talk about a "stealership"...

Contact Trinity, get replacement, forget the dealer, post pics when you're done

Hahahahahahaahah!!!!!

They will total your vehicle and tell you that your warranty doesn't cover it!

It is really sad to me that they are "supposed" to be the subject matter "experts". They don't know crap.

Talk to Trinity and tell Joe I said "Hola!"

Is this easily done by anyone or is there a set of procedures? I've noticed mine has some blurry specks in it and was thinking of getting it replaced..... or should I just buy one and get the screwdriver? heheheh

I think it's time to trade it in. Lol. Weird how BMW made it part of the entire airbag system. I think it has to do more with liability than with anything else. They are probably worried that people will start putting their own or after market stuff in there and then sue them when they get their faces all cut up because the emblem did not disintegrate (like theirs does) before it hits your face. I had mine replaced under warranty because of some fading around the edges, so I am sure that they're aware that it also costs them lots of $$$ just to replace the emblem.

The new emblem (aftermarket) should be placed on top of the old one. Don't try to remove the one on the steering wheel with a screwdriver or anything. You will make it worse by damaging the cover of the airbag. Trust me.
