Well, I bought the car from Weatherford BMW in the Bay Area but I am going to get it serviced at BMW North Houston. I've already warned them of my experience and I am willing to wipe the slate clean and start over.
Can't image that you cannot get a decent deal in Houston, TX., especially a CPO.

Side question. Why did you go all the way to Berkeley, CA to buy a used vehicle?

I hate to say it but I think I'm getting what I paid for. We'll see what happens at service.

Thanks for all your support. It is very frustrating not being able to enjoy my car without all these nagging problems. I hope the dealer will be accomindating.
The tires are going to be a big problem for me. When I took over the car, it had 26k on it and the tires probably met CPO standards as the paper work says. I forgot to bring my depth gage to verify. The tire noise was there from the beginning and didn't have time to bring it back to the dealer as I was trying to drive home with it. 3k miles later, they are just droaning loud. It's going to be a tough argument on my behalf. Any suggestions? I also realize the tire replacement is only effective if you have less than 10k on the tire.

CPO Program is setup to differentiate itself from used cars (not all used cars on dealer's lot is CPO) and supposely they are very selective when it comes to CPO certification. So, I am sure the BMWNA's CPO director will be very interested in understanding why their certification and QA process has produced a lemon .
Bottom line, you should be very happy and worry free when you buy a BMW CPO. So far, you are not.

UPDATE:
The title should be changed to: BMW disappoints me.
After being completely locked out of my car because of a dead battery, BMW finally got my car. The electrical problems were the result of a faulty hood latch, thus causing the alarm to trigger. That's all been fixed as they should have. I have no complaints about that.
What disappoints me is the service department would not go the extra step to resolve my tire issue. They basically left it up to me to fend for myself and take it up with BMWNA and the dealer I bought the car at.
For some reason, BMW thinks it is perfectly acceptable to have a first time owner of a BMW 545i to buy new tires with only 3500 miles on it. They cop out and say the tires would pass the CPO inspection and there is nothing they can do about it. Too bad for you.
This is the first and LAST BMW for me.

UPDATE:
After two weeks of reasoning, pleading, begging and complaining, Weatherford BMW finally agreed to do something, but only half fast.
I spoke to the GM of Weatherford BMW and he agreed he will look into this situation and will replace all four tires. I was happy that something was finally happening and should hear something within a day or two..... one week goes by and no news. Finally I get a call from my sales agent that he needs pictures taken of the tires and sent it to them, which I promptly did. By this time, I've had about 4100 miles on the tires and the inner cords were exposed. I was furious that this had dragged on for so long and now they are putting me at risk. Two days goes by and no phone call. I always have to call them to get a status report and I always have to calm myself down before calling. I know screaming and arguing doesn't resolve anything.
So I call the GM back and he refers me back to the sales agent saying he has some good news for me. I was excited. The sales agent tells me they are willing to replace the front tires only! What kind of shit is that?! I'm still left with half a problem.
Am I just being too critical? Is this how BMW treats their customers? Is there someone I can contact at BMW NA?

Can you tell us what tires are on the car? Are they Dunlop runflats? How many miles are on the tires (not the car)?
I do believe in personal accountability and should have taken my own depth gage or maybe my own mechanic. Is this what BMW CPO is all about? From the dealers stand point, the tires met CPO requirements, they're going to replace the front tire out of good will, and they have resolved this issue. For me, the tires are 1 of four issues I've had to deal with this dealer. I can't help but feel they have my money so there is no incentive for them anymore.
