Any thoughts about BMW rear and side blinds?
Do you consider that their main purpose is to protect the salon from direct sun light or from the heat?Your experience wud be appreciated. How effective are they?

I also find them very useful for heat reduction, but the main reason I find them so useful is that w/ two small children, they are very effective at keeping the glare down for them. And they are definitely more attractive than any variety you can buy, especially something w/ Barney or some Disney character on them.

I like them a lot, I did not request them, the car I bought was on the dealership lot, it came with them, I'm happy it did. If you have the option, get them.
If you have kids/babies riding on child seats in the back, they will appreciate those.
My wife's car has some thing with a winnie pooh on it that slides down the rear windows,,, looks so ugly,,,
Also, the one on the back slides down/up with a touch of a button, looks cool and you'll impress some friends/drivers.
It could also work in case your in laws are riding with you, you can send them to the back seat and pull all the shades up, that way people won't see you riding around with them

The power rear sunshade and manual rear side shades were a MUST HAVE option when I bought my E60. I live in the Sunbelt, and they are effective at reducing heat gain inside my car. I also added window tint to the side and rear windows. I wouldn't be without either the shades or the window tint.
