Good, I'm gonna have a friend of a close friend who's a CA do it, and Thanks i won't be giving a credit card#

I wonder if the CA gets anything for helping me activate it? <_<

Exactly what I did (minus the f'd up TCU.) I simply said I'd rather not give CC informaton and my sales rep said no problem. I still have my free year and there's no danger of me automatically getting billed for the second year...

Yup same here... Activated mine and then went home and pushed the SOS to comfirm everything and when they asked for CC # i said not at this time I will call back when I feel ready.

My free year of ASSIST has expired and BMW has called me at least once or twice a week since then to renew. I still havent decided if its worth the money.
