Not that I want another iDrive setting, or knob position, but you don't need to keep them turned on all the time (or on auto). Once it's dark, A for Adaptive works without necessarily using the Auto on/off. OTOH, my wife tends to forget them in the A position, as they switch completely off with the key.
I wonder if the "A" thing carries through different languages?

Your dealer can adjust sensitivity of automatic light sensor, factory default is SENSETIVE it could be changed to NORMAL or VERY SENSITIVE but in all cases has to be done by BMW computer hooked to your car.
