Very nice time!
I suppose the track had glue on it?
What rear tires?
Manual trans, I guess, but at what point was the gear change from first to second?

Time was done on a road that I test on.I have found it has better traction than at my local drag strip(Maple Grove,Pa).Best 60' time at the drag strip was 2.02,best 60' time on my test road was 1.91.This was done on my 545I.I am completely stock 550I including the goodyear RSA tires.I have a steptronic which is faster for acceleration due to the favorable gear ratio's in 1 thru 4,and also the rear ratio,3.38 vs 2.91 for the manual. The 4.67 run was done in cold dry weather which is very good for making power. My step shifts at 6700 rpm's in all gears. This is 200 above redline. My previous car was a 545 step and that shifted right at 6500 rpm's.I believe Motor Trend tested a 550 manual and got 4.85 sec 0-60 and 13.31 for the 1/4.They correct for weather conditions so my time is not totaly out of line.
Your rear ratio is not standard. Do you have a opened air intake?
You didn't answer my q about the rears, 275's or 285's or racing slicks?
Well done anyway!

I suppose 200 rpm above the normal max rpm is optimum for the 550i.

Yeah he said full BONE STOCK!
remember 545 /550 have equal HP=TORQUE
M5 has much less TORQUE than HP 507 HP / 384 ft Torque.
Same HP and Torque = more quicker. but the M5 will smoke easily 545/550 after 0-60
Imagine M5 has same HP = Torque, it would be less of 4 secs. for sure!
