In my weather conditions the M5 would be close to 4 secs flat.

In my place the weather is about -5 C (~26 F) Dry..... so Colder = faster?

1/8 Mile,? What was the QTR. mile run?
Road not long enough for full 1/4.Based on the 1/8 time I think the 1/4 would be about 13.15 at 106 mph

Good show and sounds really valid. I like that we have you doing the same setup equipment wise and driving technique between the two engine generations. If I remember correctly you could do a little different technique in the 545 (either higher RPM on brake torque to DSC off)? Weather is getting a little better here too and with new lighter wheels/tires (and considerable MORE breakin at 73k miles!) I was planning to redo mine as well. If I still have the loaner e90 335i I may just go test that as well this weekend.

Yes cold equals faster.Cold dry air is very good for performance.

GT2 is a timer made by Passport. It gives all time to speed and time to distance measurements thru 1/4 mile.It also gives HP and skidpad measurements.

The temp was 37F and humidity at 20%.Best run was:
0-60................4.67
1/8.................8.55/84.6 mph

This run was made with DTC/DSC on.I found it impossible to get traction with the controls off.I brake torqued to 750 rpms and slowly went to full throttle. This exceeds my best time for my 545(4.78).
Very nice time!

I suppose the track had glue on it?

What rear tires?

Manual trans, I guess, but at what point was the gear change from first to second?
