Now that I have 5600 miles on my 550,and the weather conditions are great for good times,I made a few 0-60 & 1/8 mile runs. The temp was 37F and humidity at 20%.Best run was:
0-60................4.67
1/8.................8.55/84.6 mph
60'.................2.00
This run was made with DTC/DSC on.I found it impossible to get traction with the controls off.I brake torqued to 750 rpms and slowly went to full throttle. This exceeds my best time for my 545(4.78).
I realize this time will be met with a lot of skepticism, but remember this was done with the best of weather conditions and a very good start. It was done with a GT2 timer which I have verified the accuracy at an NHRA dragstrip(largest error at any point was .09 secs). When at the drag strip I was using 12" for my rollout,I am now using 9" rollout which should make the GT2 very close to the drag strip timing.

Is your 550i stock? You sure you didn't accidentally buy a M5?

Very nice! So the 550 really is faster. Well ya... even with a strong 545 engine... I cant imagine it being as strong as 360hp... Good Run!
