If the car starts in the morning I’m not interested in a true battery at rest reading, i can make comparisons from an ignition on engine off situation, it should be the same everyday,

Regarding you doing parasitic draw tests with an external multimeter, if you go back and research parasitic draw you'll find a lot of people did a ton of diagnostic work that was not conclusive.

However, there appears to be a common theme on the various forums in the parasitic draw saga.

That is, when the car is off and asleep, feel which relay is warm to hot. This unlocks the mystery.

Many times the issue was the 30g terminal.

I'll keep that in mind.

I am first going to do the test where you see the draw when or if the car goes to sleep (60-70 mins),

More details...

1. Battery was fully charged to 12.6v with no errors.
2. Removed for three days and measured 12.5v.
3. Installed it in the car today, drove 2 miles round trip.
4. Did a load test, headlights, fan, music on for 1 minute with engine off, battery measured 11.75v.
5. Turned headlights off and measured 12v.

I think I may have a weak battery, date code 11/18. I have a 3yr free replacement warranty. Back to the store it goes.

What did the battery show when engine was running? Should have been between 14.3 to 14.8.

I did not measure that because I'm done investigating the alternator. The battery failed load testing at full charge, engine OFF.

Remember my big idea from last week?

In your lower parking garage there is a ceiling light.

Tap into that ceiling light and install a 110v socket for your battery trickle charger.

Don't worry about the leasing office. They haven't been in the garage for 20 years.

I don't think that your load test is conclusive. But, you will see when you bring the battery in to the store. Here's hoping it is only the battery.
