Default Battery Drained 530i

Hi,

I have a 2008 530i. Yesterday on my way back from work i entered the key and it got stuck.
Called the road assistance guys and they told me that my battery is dead.

Is it OK to leave the car like this for a month, since i have to travel for business ?
Or should i get a new battery immediately.

Thanks./

Since you need it anyways, you might as well get a new one installed before you take off for a month.

The car needs to stay alive to send you emails and tells you how much she misses you and reflects how important you are to her (lol). Besides, you might need someone to start her up once a week to make sure the fluids are circulated and so forth. When she is not fully charged, she might get furious with all kinds of SES (BMW Menopause) the next time you try to turn her on. You certainly don't want her to light up light a Christmas tree and have to reset a bunch of stuff because of insufficient voltage. Some people might recommend you to use a battery tender while you are away.

By the way, are you sure your car is a 2008? I thought 2007 was the last of its kind for the 530i.

Good luck!
