Default Continuous Fuel Pump Priming every minute drains battery

My fuel pump keeps priming every minute after the car goes into sleep mode, this process drains the battery. I have hooked DMM to measure current and have watched it escalate every time the fuel pump primes.

I know the regulated EKP fuel pump module gets its current supply via the 30g relay , you might want to pull that and see what she does . But not sure if there is a designated relay for the fuel pump after the EKP recieving power from the 30g ..

What year and model is your car ?

the fuel pump is priming as a result of something else waking up, find out what's waking the car up and fix that...

What sanjsanj said. If you pulled the fuse for the fuel pump and the amps are still going up every minute, then the problem isn't the fuel pump. Something else is happening - could well be waking the car every so often and doing something that takes juice.

Like I mentioned , the EKP module controls the regulated fuel pump . Pull the 30g relay that should cut of power to the module which possibly is the culprit causing the drain , or the 30g relay itself can stick ,not cutting off power to the EKP

Where is this relay? I was under the impression that the 2006 E60 didn't have a relay.
