my 06 525i with 70k that i got recently acts a little funny going over rough patches. it is mostly something you hear and not feel. seems to be coming from the front driver side and i notice it more at low speed. best way i can describe it is that it kinda sounds like a cheap old car with a blown shocks slapping around. it is not quite a banging sound or a clunk.. more of just a light slap (best i can describe it). does this sound like a blown strut? anything else i could check? it almost seems like maybe something just is not tightened up

 

usually bad struts will seep oil, and may squeek.

it could be a worn control arm also. just need to get under and inspect.
