Mine is awesome. I lost it for two weeks for the engine reprogramming recall in July (when it was only 2 weeks old), but the dealer was great about making the recall painless, with a loaner (a Volvo S80 that made me love my 545).

I look for excuses to drive it. Its cornering manners (mine is sport suspension) are unbelievable for a sedan with good rear seat room. Great mileage on the highway, awesome acceleration when you want to play. I like letting friends try it out, actually, and I think I might have sold another one yesterday when a friend with a Lexus LS430 drove it.

I assume I'll have a real problem at some point, but so far (2 months, 3,000 miles) so good.

Am I the only one who can't see the pics in Rizbel's signature?

Road and Track has now rated the E60 as 95% spectacular. They've got it 95% right, finally.

I've never seen it and it looks rather big.. Maybe it can be downsized or deleted.

I have on Oct/03 build that has had it's share of glitches. Overall, the car is outstanding and I'm sure you will enjoy the extra horsepower of the 545.
What I'm not happy with is my dealer and BMW NA in regards to how they go about solving or not solving your problems.

You car is probably a June build and should have most of the updates. Be sure and ask your dealer to get every service/update issued since then before you take it off the lot.

Check the exterior/tires/interior in detail. Operate all the features and don't let them rush you through anything you don't understand. Once you're off the lot and you've accepted your car, it's more difficult and time consuming to get anything done/upgraded.

Read through this forum to find out what's been upgraded/replaced etc.

Good luck and happy driving. I'm sure you'll be smiling once you take a 90* corner at 50mph! (in a sedan!) w/o squealing the tires.
