Indeed, I presumed that the lights would be progressive, i.e. the angels come on first and when it gets even darker the HID's come on... shame

You dont think so? Look at the mess they made with other things... ummm MP3 to name one. and thats already like a set standard and they still cant implement that into a 2005 car!!!! Ie My Car! I'm so bitter about no MP3...

Yep I just had my i drive updated and there is an option to have the lights on in the vehicle settings
