Does anyone have an experience in upgrading the E60's sound system, i mean by introducing an equalizer? I think with MP3 retrofit, a screen could have been made for a software variant equalizer, like with Winamp (www.winamp.com) so we can enhance audio playback with say a seven band equalizer. The two band tone does not provide the best listening pleasure.

Comparing to standard audio systems in a Merc, the BMW system sounds rather inferior? Any help?

 

I think the Logic 7 is an excellent system. I did add a 10" subwoofer (Diamond audio) and a 600 watt Diamond audio amp in the trunk. To do anything more than that is difficult with I-drive. I probably would not have even done this if I didn't have the equipment already that I pulled out of my erstwhile M3. In the M3 I had a completely redone system and it was great. My system now is not quite as good but I am satisfied.
