Sorry to hear about the problem you're having with your car. My '04 545iA doesn't have that problem at all. Your Dealership is B.S.ing you and giving you the run around. Hope you get it settled soon.

I have seen in other threads, as well as this one, that the valvetronic is adjustable in some way, apprently via software. Can anyone confirm that this is correct? Ever since my last software load, 20.01 I think, I've had an annoying, but very mild, ticking sound when the car is cold that goes away after it warms up. It sounds like the intermediate levers, but I do not have any rough idle issues. Can anyone confirm that there is some sort of adjustment via the software for this that my dealer may have hosed up when I got the last upgrade?

I just dropped off my baby this morning for this issue. We'll see what they come up with.

I picked up my baby today, she still running rough. Got the same old tired answer of couldn't find anything wrong, it's running within normal. At least i got a set of tires.

Hey fellow 545i owners, I had to bring the car in for a oil change this morning. I got the service manger to sit in the car. He has now confirmed that the car shakes and jitters. Finally after a year someone at BMW has confirmed that issue is there. So he tells me to bring it in next week.
