Anyone like the new 3-series more than E60?

I drove a 2006 320d for about 2,000 miles while on vacation in Europe a couple of weeks ago. Very nice car, peppy with stick even though it is a diesel (Wow, have they improved the diesel) I still prefer the substantial feeling of the E60. I really missed the active steering. Realized what a great feature this is. Makes the E60 handling even better than the 3. The 545i sport with A.S. would have been a blast on those hairpin turns on those mountain roads in France and Italy.
The styling of the 3 series has grown on me, but I still feel the E60s styling is spectacular, especially the sport with its slightly lower body. Of course there is a big money difference, so that must be considered.
