Hummm seeems like "common" plays a BIG HUGE factor in manys decisions... I too agree I would not get a 3 because here in LA... theres too many! just too many and they're marked as daddy's gift... including the M3s which is sad and That bugs!

My Ride: Arrived 3 June 2005: 2005 545i - Orient Blue, Black interior, Sport, Steptronic, Cold Weather, NAV, Sirius, Logic7, Comfort Seats, Sunshades. What a glorious ride!
I will say I like the e90 far better than the 3-series it replaced, which frankly I never found to be a very compelling vehicle.
That said, I think the e60 is the ne plus ultra of Bimmers today. The new 7er I find to be an inadequate replacement for the original cutting edge design that the original 745i represented. I thought it was flash when I first saw it, and still think so today. The current version is wimped-down, and I regret the decision to "soften" the design. But that's just me.

The 3-series is an absolute piece of crap. It does not deserve to have a BMW emblem on it.
I had one for a weekend as a loaner car. It was downright dangerous, it had so little engine power it almost got me killed trying to make a left turn.
The car has no engine.... no first gear... it shifts to second gear almost immediately, causing you to stall.
Absolutely a horrible, horrible car. I had a 1988 Honda Accord 4 cylinder engine that had more acceleration off the line.... no lie.

I think the new 3 looks great. I can't wait till the coupe comes out. I'm seriously considering ordering one if it looks like any of the photochops that've come out. I haven't driven a 330i yet, but from all the reviews, it seems pretty fast.
Subter must have driven a Hyundai with a BMW badge or something!

I think the new 3 is a beautiful car, but it's just not a '5'. I love my 5, and it's been a dream car of mine for quite a long time. That said, I wish the Bluetooth would have worked for me. It's one of the reasons I bought it.
Oh well, the new 3's are very pretty. I think I couldn't go back to a 3 just because of the 'size'. I feel like my 5 is bigger, and I like that.
